introduction

The following is derived from the first WO we did at Gridlock when F3LexKY was launched. Zartan put us through the paces and paced things according to the ability of the PAX as a whole. It was a brutal workout for a lot of us, and YHC struggled pushing through the movements. Today, it was evident the amount we have improved, as we did close to the same amount of work, if not more, and we did it in 15 fewer minutes.

Warm-o-rama

4 Rounds, all together on Q’s command and count:

  • Walkout Merkin (Werkin?) – 3
  • Squat – 4
  • SSH – 5 IC

We lined up quickly and did an Indian Run down the road, around the far end of the tennis courts and then into the courts on the far end.

100 Merkins
200 Squats
300 LBCs

Teams of 2. PAX 1 works, PAX 2 runs/sprints down 3 courts, does 3 burpees and returns. Switch til complete. Teams done first pick up the 6 by knocking out their remaining LBCs.

After a brief moment to catch our breaths and shuffle teams, we moseyed to the basketball courts.

Dip – Plank -Suicides

PAX 1 does 15 dips on the bench (sideline of the court) while PAX 2 holds plank. Then switch. Once both PAX have done dips, they suicide together; run to first court sideline, back, 2nd sideline, back and then AYG sprint to the far sideline benches. Repeat.

Repeat this again as there was still plenty of time.

1 to 4 Ratio of BBS to American Hammers. Beginning each round together:

1 BBS – 4 AmHams
2 BBS – 8 AmHams
3 BBS – 12 AmHams
…
10 BBS – 40 AmHams
11 BBS – 44 AmHams (Bonus)
12 BBS – 48 AmHams (Bonus)

Finish in the Dead Cockroach position.

Today’s weather was fantastic. A great morning to get out and do some work. We had a great turnout for a weekday. Very proud of these men for posting and putting in the work. YHC last track of time at the end and thought we were done. It was pointed out we still had 3 minutes, so on PAX suggestion, we did the extra rounds of 11 and 12 on the BBS Hammers.

Also, big shout out to OG! He got us some laminated flyers to distribute in public locales AND he delivered 2 new shovel flags today!
