To recognize that it’s opening day of the 2020 baseball season, we did a little Field of Dreams. Each PAX took a base and completed AMRAP exercises there until relieved.. Once the batter completed 15 burpees, all the runners would advance. When the last batter had completed his burpees, he would yell, “Touch ‘Em All”, and the PAX would round the bases. Note: Burpees were shortened to 10 to speed up rotation.
1st Base (AMRAP exercises)
– 1st round: LBC’s
– 2nd round: Lunges, with twist
– 3rd round: Plank Jacks
– 4th round: Squats
2nd Base (AMRAP exercises)
– 1st round: American Hammers
– 2nd round: Cross crunches (elbows to opposite knees)
– 3rd round: Mercans
– 4th round: Side straddle hops
3rd Base (AMRAP exercises)
– 1st round: Mercans, with rotation
– 2nd round: Bobby Hurleys (slap the floor, then jump shot)
– 3rd round: Nolan Ryans
– 4th round: Hillbillies
There was enough time to go through each round twice. We finished a couple of minutes early, so we knocked out some additional LBC’s.
